This month’s Second Saturday trip has been cancelled. No one has volunteered as leader, and the forecast of lasting snow cover and below-freezing temperatures will likely suppress turnout. We do encourage you to enjoy a winter bird walk on your own terms, as these conditions can lead to a lot of interesting bird activity!

February’s traditional Great Backyard Bird Count also needs someone willing to coordinate a “feeder crawl” tour of Columbia-area feeders on Saturday 2/15. If you’re interesting in helping make this happen, please contact field trip coordinators Eric & Joanna Reuter (cherthollow@gmail.com).

You’re also welcome to help make a CAS birding trip happen at any other date. Help provide our  membership with the chance to bird together!
