No, dinner won’t be shared (just the usual snacks). But we hope you will share a few of your favorite photos, and a few minutes of your time, with other participants at our November meeting. This is an opportunity to show and tell the group about your favorite photo-documented natural event of the past year – maybe your best bird(s), wildflowers, bugs, or landscapes.
Professional quality isn’t required, you don’t need a script, and you don’t even have to be a CAS member to join the show. The only catch is, we are limiting each presentation’s duration – no more than five images allowed in a five-minute time-slot – so we can accommodate as many presenters as possible. Photos need to be in digital format so we can merge them into a PowerPoint presentation before the meeting.
If you’re interested in joining the show, please send digital photos, your name, and a brief caption (“My first Ivory-billed Woodpecker”) to John Besser (jbesser1@gmail.com) by November 8 or to Kris Hagglund (hagglundkj@gmail.com) after November 8. Following the meeting, we will either delete the photos or (with your permission) keep them for future use by CAS .
We hope to see you – and your photos – at next month’s meeting!
