On Sunday, May 19, Audubon members enjoyed lovely potluck food, incredible weather, a nice nature hike and all of the improvements that have been made to Wild Haven Nature Area in recent months. The May meeting was President Lori Turner’s last meeting as president, and incoming president Lottie Bushmann had some words to share after the picnic:
“CAS is so grateful to Lori for stepping up to serve as president and leading us back into in-person meetings along with zooms. She has such a lovely calm demeanor and an openness to all ideas. She also led us to our new meeting “home” at Boone Electric and it has been a lovely place to land. She did all this while building her new home and being a mom to dear Isaac. She certainly inspired me to step up and take another turn at leadership. I’m looking forward to the next two years and keeping us on the path that Lori has so ably continued. ”
