We will bird for about 2 hours along a wide mowed paths through the 37 acre sanctuary in the Hinkson Creek valley. Expect a good variety of woodland birds.

This is an opportunity to get acquainted with the Columbia Wilderness Sanctuary, owned by the not-for-profit organization, It’s Our Wild Nature. It is a forested riparian area that will be severely impacted if the proposed concrete bicycle trail through it is constructed.

Directions: We will meet at the cul-de-sac at the south end of Bluffdale Drive. Parking is along Bluffdale Dr.

Coming from the north on Old U.S. 63, Bluffdale Dr. is the first right turn (west) south of Broadway. Continue on Bluffdale to the south end.

Coming from the south on Old U.S. 63, go past Shepard Blvd., Valleyview Rd., Oakwood Dr. and Bluff Blvd. and turn left (west) onto Southwood Drive. Turn left at the T-intersection with Bluffdale Dr.
