Many CAS members will enjoy the event described below. We’ll organize a carpool down to MDC’s Runge Nature Center in Jefferson City and do a bit of birding afterward. The carpool will leave the AC commuter lot at 11:15 a.m. (bring a lunch or eat early) to arrive on time for the noon start. The presentations will take 2-3 hours. We had originally planned to bird Runge after the presentation, but the trails at Runge will be closed that day for a managed deer hunt. We may find an alternate location to do an hour or so of birding on the way back to Columbia. We plan to arrive back in Columbia no later than 5:00 p.m.
