Important update: This gathering has been rescheduled for Tuesday August 26, 2025 (due to the unfortunate oversight that the originally scheduled date coincides with the first Mizzou home football game of the year).
Hang out with birders and discuss summer bird happenings. Perhaps there will be gossip about goldfinches. Or chat about chats.
Swallow some beer if you desire, but non-drinkers are equally welcome at this family friendly venue. Beer, hard cider, and non-alcoholic options are available from Logboat. Food trucks are sometimes an option, and bringing your own food/water is always allowed.
Wren you’re there, time may fly swiftly, and you’ll have no egrets.
NEW additional info: There’s a good chance we’ll be on the upper deck, and we’ll have a pair of binoculars or other bird-related clues to help you find us, should you happen to be new to the group. If you have a re-usable name tag, feel free to bring it and use it. After the social, Joanna will be doing some Chimney Swift watching in town, and anyone is welcome to join. Sunset is 7:48 p.m., and peak entry into chimneys is usually about 20 minutes after sunset.
