Please join the Missouri Birding Society (formerly ASM) and the Columbia Audubon Society for a fall field trip on Saturday, Sept. 26th. We will meet at the Devil’s Icebox parking lot of Rockbridge State Park. We will divide into small groups of 4-5 birders and head out into RBSP to look for fall migrants. Possible destinations are to walk the Devil’s Icebox boardwalk, the Sinkhole trail, the Springbrook Trail, the Gans Creek trail, Karst trail, and Grassland Trail. In order to be as safe as possible, we ask all participants to wear masks (even though we’ll be outdoors, simply because it’s hard to stay 6 ft. apart and enjoy views of the same bird!) and to use social distancing as much as possible. All abilities of birders welcome. We will arrange one experienced guide per group. We will meet at 7:45 a.m. and head out from 8:00 to 11:00. We encourage participants to bring a sack lunch and bag chair and hang around afterwards and enjoy a socially distanced picnic.
