Meeting time change: Please note that the February meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m., an hour earlier than usual, to discuss and vote on a proposal for CAS to support the development of the Boone County Nature School. Bill Palmer’s presentation will begin at 7:00 p.m.:

Magee Marsh in northwest Ohio is a natural trap for migrating spring birds. The many scrub bushes and low trees provide ideal habitat and food until conditions are right for migrants to cross Lake Erie. It has been billed as the “Warbler Capital of North America.”

Bill Palmer will share his photos of Magee Marsh birds and offer tips on how best to bird Magee. There will be handouts on logistics including, when to go, where to stay, where to eat, and more.

This presentation will whet your appetite for a May trip to Magee. There is still time to make plans and reservations.

The meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 2615 Shepard Blvd., with social time following.
