Come explore this diverse landscape in northern Boone County, where CAS members Eric & Joanna Reuter have worked for over a decade to integrate environmentally friendly food production into the broader ecosystem. We’ll use our local knowledge to seek out warblers and spring wildflowers along a forested stream, observe the birds using our fields and orchard, visit a potentially active Red-Shouldered Hawk nest, and look for anything else interesting in the ecosystem. As our entry road is somewhat rugged, we suggest carpooling in higher-clearance vehicles.

Contact Eric Reuter with any questions or for directions if coming independently. Contact Eric Wood with any questions about carpooling from the Moser’s Foods parking lot, 4840 Rangeline St. (NOT Keene St.)

Note: we do not use or allow pesticide applications on our property; if you wish to apply any form of bug spray/repellent, please do so BEFORE arrival.
